KLINGEN CHOIR

The Klingen Choir was founded by Sipan Olah in 2013 and was initially known as Komitas Choir. It performs a repertoire of Armenian songs of all genres, as well as selected songs from other cultures and languages. The four-voice semi-professional choir, which is named Klingen (“sound” from German), enjoys an exceptional reputation both in the UK and internationally. The choir has performed in more than 35 concerts in Armenian St Sarkis and St Yeghishe Churches in Kensington, in Ealing Town Hall, in St Cyprian’s church in Marylebone, in a Samsung open air concert in Piccadilly Circus, in Cardiff St German’s church, at the annual Maslenitsa Festival at St John’s Smith Square in Westminster and in a number of concerts in St Cuthbert’s church in Kensington where the choir has its rehearsals. In 2019 KCCA’s successful concerts “Armenian & Russian Songs” and “Multinational tribute to Komitas” bought together UK and international musicians and choirs to share and celebrate Armenian and international music. During 2020-2021 Klingen Choir won the 1st🥇 place and Grand Prix🏆  in six online international competitions in the UK, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Cyprus and Malta. In Autumn of 2021 Klindeg choir performed in 2 concerts cold  “Multinational Tribute to Alexander Spendiaryan & Arno Babajanian” in St Cuthbert’s church on 16th of October and in St Sarkis church on 27th of November as well a Christmas carol concert in St Mary’s church, Guilford on 11th of December
